Acquisitions
Rockwell Collins is focused on leveraging its core strengths and expanding them through acquisitions and alliances to provide
new capabilities to its current and future customers.
- Athena Technologies, Inc., of Virginia was acquired in April 2008. This acquisition enables Rockwell Collins to deliver total
awareness and automation to both manned and unmanned systems through communications, sensors, navigation and controls.
- Information Technology and Applications Corporation (ITAC) of Virginia was acquired in August 2007. This acquisition expands
Rockwell Collins' ability to provide users access and use of near real-time geospatial intelligence and other mission-critical
information.
- Anzus, Inc., headquartered in Poway, California, was acquired in September 2006. The acquisition will further augment Rockwell
Collins' Network-Centric Operations capabilities by enhancing our Tactical Data Link Integration solutions.
- IP Unwired of Ottawa, Canada, was acquired in September 2006 and strengthens Rockwell Collins' Network-Centric Operations
offerings.
- Evans & Sutherland's simulation business, located in Salt Lake City, Utah, was acquired in May 2006. This acquisition strengthens
Rockwell Collins' simulation and training capabilities with a full line of professional hardware and software designed to create highly realistic visual images for simulation,
training, engineering, and other applications throughout the world.
- TELDIX GmbH, based in Heidelberg, Germany, was acquired in April 2005. The acquisition broadens our European presence and
provides complementary product lines that will allow us to enhance our offerings for customers worldwide.
- NLX LLC, headquartered in Sterling, Virginia, was acquired on December 2003. The acquisition strengthens Rockwell Collins'
service and support business and enhances future training device capabilities.
- Airshow, Inc., based in Tustin, California, was acquired in August 2002. The acquisition expands the Rockwell Collins' cabin electronics offerings.
- Communication Solutions, Inc. based in White Marsh, Maryland, was acquired in March 2002. The acquisition expands Rockwell
Collins' extensive product portfolio for customers in the areas of signals intelligence (SIGINT) and surveillance solutions.
- K Systems, Inc., parent company of Kaiser Aerospace and Electronics, and based in San Jose, California, was acquired in December
2000. The acquisition strengthens Rockwell Collins' offerings to military display customers.
- Sony Trans Com, based in Irvine, California, was acquired in April 2000. The acquisition expands Rockwell Collins' in-flight
entertainment (IFE) capabilities for commercial aircraft.
- Intertrade, Ltd., an avionics parts supplier based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was acquired in 1999.
- The fifty percent (50%) share of Flight Dynamics, based in Portland, Oregon, that Rockwell Collins did not own was acquired
in 1999. Now Rockwell Collins Head-up Guidance Systems, it is a market leader in Head-up Guidance Systems (HGS®).

a limited liability company formed by Rockwell Collins and BAE SYSTEMS, provides data link products to the military.
- Integrated Guidance Systems LLC is a Honeywell International/Rockwell Collins joint venture formed to meet the emerging demand for precision guidance with
the introduction of the IGS family of deeply integrated guidance systems.
- Vision Systems International, LLC, is a joint venture company between Elbit Systems Ltd of Israel, through its U.S. subsidiary EFW Inc. of Ft. Worth, Texas,
and Rockwell Collins. The venture was established to pursue fixed wing Helmet Mounted Cueing System (HMCS) opportunities worldwide.
